Blasting

Blasting, also known as sand-blasting, is a technological process which uses the impact of fine solid particles (abrasive material) for surface treatment purposes - cleaning and/or coarsening the blasted surface. We have a compressed air blasting cabin at our disposal. Dimensions: 4,000 mm x 6,500 mm x 3,500 mm; maximum weight of the processed components: 1,000 kg. The blasting cabin is operated by an operator wearing appropriate protective clothing and helmet. The operator is responsible for processing the object inside the cabin using a Venturi nozzle. The blasting cabin enables even the least accessible spots and hollows on and in the blasted object to be cleaned.

We also have at our disposal an automated Škoda TMZ 12.25 suspension blasting machine. The machine is equipped with blasting wheels which provide a very efficient means of blasting smaller components. Two blasting turbines are used to achieve a perfectly clean surface. The turbines blast steel particles onto suspended components which revolve and move horizontally during the process. The dimensions of the suspended object are limited by the size of the cabin. The maximum diameter of a revolving component is 1,200 mm. The maximum component height is 1,500 mm. The suspension load bearing capacity is 500 kg. If required by the customer, we can measure the surface roughness of the blasted surface and provide an expert assessment of the cleanliness of the blasted surface. To achieve uniform surface quality for all our products, we use a special mixture of steel abrasive material during the production process.
